Workshops at Belfast Metropolitan College
About the event
Come along to Belfast Metropolitan College who will host a morning of taster sessions where participants can try three methods of making.
Attendees will try Printmaking with Cara McCaughey – making monoprints with oil-based inks and using a roll-over method; Jewellery making with Lesley Falls – using hammers, soldering and ring making tools to make a hammered copper ring; and Ceramics with Caroline Huey – handbuilding a mug using slab technique.
This busy and exciting day of making will work on a rotational basis with participants having 1.5 hours to try each technique before moving on to the next. Everyone will leave with a series of prints, a copper ring and the mugs will be fired, ready to be picked up at a later date.
