About the event
Lynn Kirkham is a Master Basketer who uses willow, wood, bronze castings and other Multi-Media to create her work. Lynn Works mainly to commission, her Public Sculptures have become popular landmark pieces throughout Ireland.
Her exhibition in the Gallery Room at the Blackwater Valley Makers Shop and Gallery in Fermoy is a reflection of the life she has built for herself in the countryside, Lynn said “It is a peaceful and scenic place with animals, nature and boundless creative inspiration.
There will be an opportunity to meet the artist on August 13th at 12pm to 3pm when she will share a simple project and talk about her work.

This event is a part of Cork Craft Month with Cork Craft and Design Collective. Summer 2022 will mark the 13th annual Cork Craft Month with over 50 events taking place all across the county.
Multi-media artist Lynn Kirkham is best known for her large outdoor pieces and Public sculptures. Her Bog oak and steel Milking Cows, “Bo Bainne,” are a popular landmark as you arrive at Fermoy (J14 N8) Now Lynn has returned to the town, scaling down for an intimate exhibition of brand new work in bronze, wood, weave and collage. The collection illustrates her diverse creative approach and a life closely connected with nature, animals and the land.
