The word also refers to ‘common’ people who are the representatives of local culture and beliefs as well as music, dance, history, costume, healing techniques, knowledge of plants and herbs, traditional arts and crafts. ‘Folk’ can also be used to describe traditional songs, drama, storytelling and other forms of oral communication.”
