‘Lineage’ Cork Craft & Design Annual Showcase Exhibition
About the event
‘Lineage’ is an exhibition of a selection of Cork Craft & Design makers.
The exhibition celebrates the legacy and tradition of crafts and the makers of Cork Craft and Design. The work on display explores the idea of lineage, with the methods and memories passed on from our parents, grandparents, and other family and friends. Each maker’s work also contributes to the lineage of the craft, continuing customs, and adding to the story of craft in Cork. Through craft, we connect the past and the present. Curated by Julie Daunt.
The official launch of this exhibition will welcome an opening speech from Cllr Danny Collins, Mayor of County Cork and talk by historian Christy Roche. Suzanne O’Sullivan (Suzy O’Glass) will also be doing a live demonstration of her sustainable glass work practises.
