About the organiser
This event has been co-ordinated by Green Dot-Irish Design Makers in collaboration with the creative community of Clonakilty.
Experience the vibrant creative scene of Clonakilty with a trail of the Studios and Workshops at its heart. This month-long event is a an opportunity to ‘Meet the Makers’ in their own creative space and to get a proper feel for their work.
This is a trail full of interesting characters and stories ranging from Jim Turner and Etain Hickey with 40 years at Rossmore Pottery to Ali Wheeler pivoting from making her own Hot Knickers to Wild Robes due to covid and Lisa Tonge at Green Dot starting as a small self-taught maternity leave sewing business to becoming an award winning Maker with her shop as one of the top independent retail shops in the country, Louise Kingston from Inchydoney candles-born and bred at Inchydoney and now making her beautiful candles there and lots more.
